The Quality Committee of the Port of Sagunto has held a new session. During the working day, presided over by D. Francesc Sánchez, general manager of the Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), the activity developed by the Working Groups was reviewed, the novelties of the Quality Mark System were presented and traffic in this port has been analyzed, its diversification and future prospects too.

As for the Transparent invoicing Working Groups, the new edition of the Invoicing Guide of the Port of Sagunto has been presented, which it hopes to be of great help to the port clients. In this regard, it has been announced that next May, a working day will be celebrated in ASECAM to publicize the guide to the members of the association as well as the client companies of the Port of Sagunto. In addition, it has been informed of the possibility of downloading its content through the website of the Quality Mark.

Another topic was the celebration, on February 15th, of the Working Group on Exceptional Situations in the Port of Sagunto, which analyzed possible incidents in the development of operations and other port services derived from warnings of strikes, announced during this period by trade union organizations with representativeness in the stowing sector. In this sense, the Quality Mark department will continue tracing the negotiations in case it is necessary to gather this Working Group.

On the other hand, in relation to the Steel Traffic Working Group, the activity carried out during this year 2017 has been reported. Specifically, visits to the most important companies in the steel sector key to this traffic have been planned and started. With the collected information by clients and information regarding the statistics of these traffic in other ports, it is expected that the Working Group will soon be convened to analyze and promote initiatives to favor the quality of service and competitiveness of the port of Sagunto.

With regard to other Working Groups, it has been commented progress in the state of initiatives such as: the new inspection center, which is already under development; the railway access project, which is expected to be tendered by 2018; the next enablement of the automatic exit for containers in the port of Sagunto and, finally, the next execution of the new paved area contiguous to the Northeast quay, that can be used before finalizing this year to promote the traffic of solid bulk.

Finally, the recent incorporation of the company Lantia Marítima, S.L. as a freight forwarder and provisioning company has outstand. Likewise, it has been reported on the on-line questionnaire delivery, according to the type of providing company, to facilitate the internal audits of the member companies.
