- The most important cruise sector trade fair takes place from 8 to 10 April in Miami
València, 9 April 2025.- The Port Authority of València (APV) is once again attending the most important event in the cruise sector: the Seatrade Cruise Global fair in Miami.
At Seatrade, Mar Chao, president of the PAV, and Francesca Antonelli, head of Cruises and Marketing, have held working meetings with the heads of the main cruise operators and shipping companies in the world. Thus, the representatives of Valenciaport are developing a busy agenda with the aim of dealing with the 2025 and 2026 operations in the Valencian docks.
Now, and with different works and works in progress, there are four berths for cruise ships, which cater from ships for a more family-oriented public to premium, luxury and expedition ships. In fact, half of the 280 stopovers planned for 2025 belong to this type of vessel, on which older people from the five continents travel.
The PAV also took the opportunity to sit down with those responsible for excursions in the shipping companies in order to discuss the diversification of the offer and the new developments in excursions for cruises both in the province and in the city. The development of specific activities for visitors travelling alone – who demand ad hoc offers focused on active experiences and Valencian gastronomic workshops – has been the main novelty that the representatives of Valenciaport have promoted in Miami.
