València, February 18th, 2026 – The deadline for submitting applications to the PORTS 4.0 Capital Fund is fast approaching. March marks the end of the application period for this financial tool, which aims to generate an open, innovative ecosystem that facilitates contact and knowledge of the challenges and functioning of the logistics and port sector.
Valenciaport is one of the Port Authorities participating in this initiative, promoted by the TradeTech ecosystem of Puertos del Estado, which seeks to promote the development of innovative technological solutions to improve the competitiveness, efficiency, sustainability, decarbonization, and security of the Spanish logistics-port sector, as well as to promote its digitization process.
In this regard, it is designed to support entrepreneurs and companies, both national and international, that have innovative ideas or projects capable of transforming the logistics-port sector and, in general, trade. The initiative seeks to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness of the sector by promoting projects with a clear focus on market growth, including intrapreneurship projects within the Port Authorities and Puertos del Estado.
This fund supports all stages of the innovation process: from ideation and validation to acceleration, prototyping, and expansion. It is not limited exclusively to disruptive technologies, but also encompasses the development of more efficient processes and innovative business models, with a focus on key verticals of the 4.0 economy, such as Big Data, IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Cybersecurity, Digital Twin, 3D Printing, Robotics, Automation, Biotechnology, and Nanotechnology, among others.
Aid amounting to €6.7 million
This new call for proposals from the Ports 4.0 fund of Puertos del Estado and the Port Authorities has a budget of €6,750,000 for ideas and commercial projects. €750,000 will be allocated to the Ideas category, while €6,000,000 will be allocated to Commercial Projects. The current call for applications will remain open until March 2 for grant applications in the Ideas category, while applications for grants in the Commercial Projects category may be submitted until March 31, 2026.
