Valencia, 7 August 2025.- So far this year, Valenciaport has recorded the movement of 1,221,014 tonnes of goods by rail, which translates into 131,795 TEUs handled by rail. These figures represent more than 8% of the total land traffic passing through the Port of Valencia.
According to figures for the last six months of the year, between January and June, Valenciaport trains transported 12% more containers than in the same period last year. This percentage rises to 18% if we take into account the number of tonnes. The number of direct entries and exits to the port facilities has also grown and now stands at 26,382 TEUs and 242,968 tonnes.
A total of ten companies manage rail traffic from the Port of Valencia to the logistics areas of Madrid, Valladolid, Bilbao and Zaragoza, where most of the goods arriving via rail-port traffic originate.
