Throughout the year, the Association supports the vulnerable population of the Maritime District of Valencia with different initiatives
València, Decembre 21th, 2022.- Aportem-Puerto Solidario Valencia has launched a campaign to deliver toys to the schools of the Maritime District of Valencia. An initiative that is added to the different activities that this association for the promotion of Social Responsibility carries out throughout the year to support the population of the maritime area of Valencia with the greatest risk of social exclusion.
Aportem is carrying out three particularly intense activities at this time of year, supplying clothes, footwear, school materials and toys to hundreds of children in the Port area. With the start of the school year, as every year, school materials were delivered to all those who needed them. Pencils, felt-tip pens, erasers, pencil cases… were delivered to the schools according to what each centre had requested. A total of 685 children benefited from this initiative.
Once this action was over, Aportem’s efforts focused on another one that is also repeated year after year: providing clothes and footwear for the youngest children. The children of Marítimo who have requested them through their schools were once again able to count on the help of Aportem – Puerto Solidario Valencia to help them face the new school year better equipped. Each child, up to a total of 550, received brand new clothes and footwear in their own size.
During these days, coinciding with the end of the year, the Association has launched a campaign to deliver new toys to schools that request them. With the aim of ensuring that no child is left without a gift at Christmas time, schools that have no other means of access to these toys, turn to Aportem, so that the children can have their present.
In addition to these major campaigns, Aportem approved, at its Board of Directors and General Assembly held on 22 November, to maintain various forms of support for schools and institutions in the form of breakfasts and snacks, heating oil, hygiene material, etc. All of this was discussed at the work meeting, which approved the official incorporation of three new companies to the Aportem census and approved the budgets for 2023. The meeting highlighted the fact that with the planned budget, which initially amounts to 40,000 euros, multiplied results are achieved, based on the management and totally altruistic work of Aportem’s members.
