Port Authority of Valencia (PAV), has participated in the III Technological Encounter organized by El Corte Inglés in the Valencian Community which aims to boost digital information in Public Administration and to be a meeting point with Market and Society to debate the way to a digital organization.
The forum was inaugurated by the Minister of Finance and Economic Model, Vicent Soler, and was attended by PAVs head of Information Technology José García De La Guía, who was part of the “Valencian Community 4.0” round table.
During his speech, Garcia de La Guía explained that PAVs works in two directions in its strategy to achieve a digital port. The first – like the rest of Spanish public administrations – is based on compliance with the Law on Electronic Administration. Secondly, PAV faces the challenge of using all the information available, both in conventional sources and those offered by the latest technologies, in order to provide value to users of the ports of Valenciaport. This added value translates into greater efficiency and reliability in operations and, as far as possible, the reduction of port costs.
The round table also included the participation of representatives of the different administrations – Generalitat Valenciana, Ayuntamiento de Valencia and the Observatory of the Public Sector – in charge of exposing the Valencian Community 4.0 approach within its organization. In the private sector, Huawei was represented by its Regional Director in the Levante area.
