The Region of Valencia Foundation for Valenciaport Research, Promotion and Commercial Studies was founded at the initiative of Valencia Port Authority in conjunction with a number of institutions and corporations in the Region of Valencia. The Foundation aims to be instrumental in providing services to agents operating in the transport and logistics field, especially as regards maritime and port affairs, as key factors for competitiveness in the increasingly complicated process of internationalisation of companies in this Region, and as such the Foundation carries out activities involving research, training, cooperation in development, and promotion of the economy and regional culture. The main aims of the Foundation are:

-          Strengthen the Valenciaport Port Community in its commercial dimension.

-          Contribute to the consolidation of Valencia as a major logistics platform on the western Mediterranean.

-          Reinforce the competitiveness of the Valencian economy, particularly its transport chain, within the context of increasing internationalisation and globalisation.

-          Promote the management of knowledge and ensure suitable training for human resources in the Valenciaport Port Community, placing appropriate tools at their disposal.
