Maritime Passenger Terminal opened in June 2003
The Maritime Terminal built by Trasmediterránea on the Poniente Pier features two adjoining 360m and 180 m long quays. Access to the terminal from the ship is via an elevated walkway built along these quays which links the vessel by means of a modern mobile “finger” system that can be adjusted to link up with any type of vessel.
Since July 1st last year, these facilities, like the other terminals in the port of Valencia, comply with all the requirements and specifications of the ISPS Code (Internacional Ship and Port Facility Security Code)) governing international maritime traffic of goods and passengers.
In addition to dealing with cruise ships, this maritime terminal also handles regular services to and from the Balearic Islands, providing our cruise passengers with all the necessary transit, boarding and disembarkation services.
In short, these highly modern facilities mean that the Port of Valencia is already prepared to welcome any cruise ship that visits our port and to offer their passengers the finest service whilst guaranteeing passenger safety.
