Quality service is one of the key strategic factors on which Valenciaport bases its operations to consolidate its leadership among deep sea Mediterranean ports.
Port quality and quality management have a twofold scope:
- Internal quality, referring to services provided by the Port Authority itself.
- External quality, referring to the services provided by members of the Port Community to end customers (shipowners, importers and exporters). In this aspect, members of the Community are conceived as links in the same chain that provides certain services to end customers, all of which directly influences their perception of quality services provided by the Port in general.
For a number of years, Valenciaport has worked on both of these fronts, creating a Global Quality System that actively involves all members of the Port Community, establishing a Seal of Quality Guarantee that compensates port service users in the event of nonfulfilment of approved and expected service levels, while sharing computer communications systems and improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Valenciaport.
