The Transaction area of the Valenciaport portal, whose brand name is 

is a development and improvement of the SIC (Community Information System) and EDI-based applications for the exchange of information between the agents of the Port Community and the Port Authority of Valencia.

Basically designed to improve the operating processes of ship and cargo agents and operators (forwarding agents, shipping agents, carriers, etc), this platform will make it possible, amongst other things, to conduct all the transactions currently carried out by the SIC. It will be the a one-stop shop for the electronic exchange of information between the Port Authority of Valencia and companies in the Port Community.

valenciaportpcs.net seeks to consolidate itself as the main tool supporting the operations between said agents by:

-          Modernising logistic management: employing standardised information exchanges to facilitate business and administrative procedures and operations concerning cargo movements at Valenciaport ports.

-          Sea-Port-Land integration: by extending the integration already accomplished between the Port Community and the SIC on both the “land” side with haulage operators and on the “sea” side thanks to its integration with the world’s leading shipowners via INTTRA and GT Nexus. This means that users will be able to view the entire transport chain in the portal.

-          Interconnecting Associated Ports: making integration opportunities with other associated ports more accessible, thereby facilitating operations and the exchange of information between port communities.

In order to fulfil this aim, a wide range of services  has been established including certain interfaces and types of technology,  based on the latest-generation standards facilitating the access and integration of any agent. The aim of this is to enhance operating processes within the Valenciaport port community.
