One of the distinctive characteristics of the Valencian economy stems from its exporting tradition, managing to attain 12.8% of all Spanish exports in 2002.

With the aim of boosting the presence of Valencian businesses on the international market, economic institutions in the Region of Valencia involved in this area, such as the Valencia Export Institute and the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, develop and organise a series of programs with the objective of promoting Valencia’s companies, services and products, in which Valenciaport is an active participant.
